Sean Dolan, CEO

Within one year of his high school graduation, Sean was made the Assistant General Manager for the company he’d worked for all through high school and was well on his way to a business degree.

After accidentally landing a spot on NBC reality show Fame (he was only at the audition as moral support for a friend), Sean realized he had craved something more creative and entered the show business industry as a Promotions Assistant with a Houston radio station. When the station became aware that he’d previously dabbled as a DJ, they moved him into position as the resident mobile DJ for their special events, and gave him an on-air position for a weekend show called ‘Curbside’.

Over the next several years, Sean made a name for himself as a Premiere DJ and MC in the Houston area working for the top nightclubs in the city, including being the Corporate Director of Marketing for what was arguably the most famous nightclub in the Houston area. Sean realized that with his talent for the art, his newly discovered skills as a marketer and his interest in business that originally led him to pursue a business degree he could easily open up his own DJ company. Meet a few valuable members of our team:

Elton Willis, SEO Account Manager

Elton sees SEO as more than a job—it’s a professional vocation he’s loved spending the past 5 years doing. An avid researcher of current and upcoming SEO trends and strategies, he brings a broad range of experience in internet marketing to the Ascendgence team, joining as an SEO Account Manager in 2011. Elton is a proud husband, father and veteran of the United States Air Force and the first Gulf War where he served as a Certified Respiratory Therapist. A talented digital artist, poet, and a Star Wars and anime addict, a major in Animation, Art and Design at the Art Institute of Houston was a natural choice for someone who dreamed of one day working on the next Star Wars film sequel (during this time Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace had just been released). In addition, Elton earned his Inbound Marketing Certification from the Inbound Marketing University course sponsored by HubSpot. Elton spends much of his free time reading and helping his 4 children explore their artistic and creative sides.

Stuart Wood, Marketing Specialist

Stuart began his Internet marketing career in 2006 after receiving his Electronics and Communications Engineering education from Blackpool and Fylde College. Stuart spent most of 2006 working with Canadian Internet publishing company Geosign before moving onto Internet publishing company MFE Interactive, where he spent the next 3 years. MFE allowed Stuart to work with a very talented staff and hone his skills as an Internet Marketer while training under some of the best minds in the industry. In 2011, Stuart made the move to Ascendgence and has quickly become a valuable member of the Ascendgence team.

Anna Fleet, Senior Content Editor

Anna believes variety is the spice of life. This 2011 addition to the Ascendgence team has written on every topic from fitness to travel to technology to celebrity gossip and has been published by TV Guide, Homemaker’s Magazine, Can-Fit-Pro and Florida Travel Magazine. Anna was also the face and voice of FitnessGear101.com and Senior Editor for many niche web properties during her 4 years at Geosign Corporation, followed by an SEO Writer role with internet publishing company MFE Interactive. Anna earned a BA English Honors degree from University of Western Ontario in 2000 and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism/New Media from Sheridan College in 2001. She’s also a member of the Professional Writer’s Association of Canada.

Beth Petersen, Office Manager

Beth spent most of her early career in the real estate industry serving as an apartment manager for several large properties in the Houston area. With the strong organizational, management and scheduling skills she developed, she made an easy move to office management two years ago as the office manager for a large decorating company in Richmond, Texas. In 2011, Beth came on board at Ascendgence and has become a vital part of the administrative team.
